About

Meet Ava

Personal

I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up across several Midwest states. I am now a junior gymnast at the University of Michigan, studying Sports Management and Business. I attended Cathedral High School and competed at Deveau’s Gymnastics. Beyond gymnastics, I’m passionate about my family, my faith and connecting with people in meaningful ways. Our Christian faith is an important part of my life and influences how I approach challenges, relationships, and opportunities.

Interests:

  • I enjoy cooking and baking, exploring new foods, traveling, working out, beauty and fashion, watching sports, brand building and sharing my journey. (picture of Ava cooking)

  • I love connecting with people, learning their stories and finding ways to encourage and empower others —especially young athletes – to grow with confidence both inside and outside of sports

Gymnastics

Gymnastics has always been a central part of my life since I was three years old. I joined the University of Michigan program, my dream school, as a walk-on. Through consistent effort, trust and belief, I eventually earned a scholarship. Today, I’m proud to serve as a team-leader – a role that is not just about athletic ability, but responsibility, accountability and care for others. Competing at Michigan has pushed me to lead under pressure, stay disciplined in my preparation, contribute to something bigger than myself and show up everyday for my teammates.
